Butler Dog Training and Therapy Dogs

 We have one of the largest therapy dog visitation programs in the Western Pennsylvania region. Our dogs are tested and certified as Canine Good Citizens with the American Kennel Club and tested and certified through Therapy Dog International.

We have over 14 scheduled monthly visits to various facilities in the Butler County area including Sunnyview, St. John’s Specialty Care, Valencia Woods, The Lowrie Place, Veterans’ Administration Hospital, Butler Memorial Hospital, Passavant, New Haven Court, Shelbourne, Concordia, and the Benbrook Medical Center’s cancer program. 

We also do special presentations throughout the year for other similar facilities and groups. One of our most special visits is Christmas morning at Sunnyview. Many of our members also do individual visits to hospice, adult daycare, and personal care facilities. The children in Butler County enjoy our Paws to Read a Tale program on Saturday mornings at the Butler Public Library.
